Born and raised on the beautiful island of Guam, Dr. Barlan moved to the Pacific Northwest to complete her bachelor's degree and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Seattle University. She earned her doctoral degree from Marquette University's School of Dentistry and completed an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) residency program with the U.S. Air Force. After separating from the Air Force, she and her husband moved to northern Virginia, where she had been practicing dentistry at the Pentagon Tri-Service Dental Clinic in Washington, D.C. Dedicated to the health and comfort of her patients, Dr. Barlan's calming demeanor makes anxious individuals feel at ease with their dental experience. Her practice style and philosophy are largely based on a preventative approach to achieving oral health. She is committed to dental education and has continually expanded her knowledge in all facets of dentistry. Dr. Barlan is currently preparing for the Fellowship exam with the Academy of General Dentistry.

Specialty: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Patel has extensive experience with the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is a knowledgeable and experienced clinician committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon by training, his practice is focused on providing aesthetic and reconstructive surgery using a multidisciplinary approach to achieve optimal results. He is highly skilled in dental implants, reconstructive surgery, wisdom teeth, oral and maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, extractions, and anesthesia and has performed over 50,000 surgical procedures.

Dr. Doyle completed a residency in advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) at Naval Dental Center Great Lakes, Illinois. She continues to attend training seminars and continuing education courses regularly to stay updated on the latest breakthroughs in evidence-based dental technology. She is highly motivated to provide the best, most esthetic dental work possible, keeping the patient's best interests and comfort in mind. That includes educating the patient about the importance of dental care and their treatment needs. Her duty station assignment aboard the aircraft carrier USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71) and her latest practice at the US Naval Academy enabled her to establish a patient base that was truly family, and she looks forward to maintaining those kinds of quality relationships with her patients at Fusion Dental.

Specialty: Prosthodontist. Dr. Tofighbakhsh studied biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. While in private practice, he pursued advanced training in prosthodontics, specializing in dental implants, esthetics, and reconstructive dentistry. He has extensive training in full-mouth rehabilitation involving implant, fixed, and removable prostheses. During his residency program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, he also participated in teaching clinical and digital dentistry. He regularly attends continuing education courses to keep up with modern dentistry's latest technology and techniques.

Dr. Yacoub completed an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) residency at New York University Langone at Fenway Community Health Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a certified Invisalign provider and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

Specialty: Periodontist. Dr. Katmeh received his dental degree from Syria. After finishing his degree, he moved to the States, where he researched many dentistry fields, including orthodontics and periodontics. Dr. Katmeh then started his residency in periodontology and implantology at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. During his residency program, he additionally obtained a master's degree in the field of Biomaterials, winning multiple research awards for his thesis, "Non-Contact Index of Periodontal Inflammation." After completing his periodontics residency and master's degree, Dr. Katmeh completed a one-year implant dentistry fellowship, where he treated more complex surgical cases and became involved in the restorative phase of implant treatment. During this time, he started teaching and supervising periodontal residents at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and continued to teach for about a year before moving to private practice. He is board-certified in periodontology and dental implant surgery.
